We had the best day ever on the 30th of August. You all looked after us so well at the Glenlo. Really, we don't have one single piece of remotely negative feedback or constructive criticism at all. In fact we've just written a letter of thanks to Brian Bourke, which he should receive by the end of the week. We felt so well looked after with Eimear there us on the day. She was so professional and organised, but we also really felt that she was happy for us and joined in the good feelings on our special day. The waiting staff and bar staff couldn't have been nicer - everybody said that. There was a real feeling of 5 star quality standards, combined with a genuine friendly, family atmosphere in the hotel, which is rare, and a credit to you all. The food and wine was great, the breakfast amazing! - our compliments to the chef(s). Even the little details - like the housekeeping staff saying a friendly 'hello' as you walked by the corridors. Also the fact that when I went back to collect the cake 2 days later, you had 2 menus kept aside for us as souveniers (important - and something I had forgotten to ask for on the day. Yet with the experience you have at the Glenlo, you obviously know that it is important). Overall I would say, that it's clear the ethos of the hotel is excellent customer service & a genuine understanding of your customer - particularly for a wedding, and how hugely important the day is to the bride & groom. I would definitely recommend the Glenlo Abbey to other couples for their wedding reception. If there's anything I can do for you in that regard (website testimonial etc.) don't hesitate to ask. The whole wedding party was raving about the set up at Glenlo and how classy it all was. I have to say you all did an amazing job. Eimear and the staff did an excellent service from start to finish. There were alot of personal touches that we noticed on the day that were appreciated, such as having a french waiter to assist Nicolas's family who had no English, the translationof the menus and the nice touuch of the french flag being hung on the Orient Express. One thing did amuse us, the following morning when we ordered breakfast in bed from the bridal suite, we received one breakfast. Thanks again for making our day special. I attended my brothers wedding reception at your establishment on Saturday 21 October last. I would like to thank your excellent waiting / banqueting staff for a superb meal and excellent service. The whole dining experience was wonderful and your staff were excellent. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed! The food was excellent and the vegetables and beef were cooked to perfection I would also like to thank especially the Manager on duty Emir for all she did for both Ray and Aoife as well as assisting my Uncle when he fell ill. Mark and I were so pleased with the wedding reception, it was absolutely perfect. We can't thank Glenlo and its staff enough. From the day we booked the venue we were confident that Glenlo was the right choice. The meal on the day was absolutely superb and the attentiveness of the all members of staff was incredible. Everyone commented on the meal and how delicious it was. A particular mention of gratitude must go to Roisin and Emer, who over the last year were always available to answer all our questions and queries. They were great. All of our guests who stayed in the hotel made sure to mention how impressed they were with the hotel itself and with the staff. So many of them will definitely be returning! I would have to say that there are no negative points whatsoever, so just keep doing what you are doing and I am sure all your other wedding couples will be as pleased as we were. We have sent a thank you card to the hotel, but only the other day; everything seems to have been put on the long finger since the wedding.
